Twin sisters, Patty and Betty, lost their parents in a plane crash.

Patty and Betty were two-year old twin sisters. Their father, a small-plane pilot, was flying his family over the Montana forests when the plane crashed near the Big River. The girls' parents were both killed in the crash, but the two children survived. Betty stayed in the plane, and was rescued a few hours later.

In the shock of the plane crash, Betty and Patty forgot all about each other.

Eventually, Betty  was adopted by a family living in the Chicago area, hundreds of miles from her twin sister.

Dazed by the shock of the crash, Patty followed a friendly wolf into the forest. The wolf took care of the little girl for a few weeks until she was found by a childless couple, who adopted her. She grew up in Montana.  She always had a deep love for and understanding of the woods and all things wild.

Dazed, Patty followed a friendly she-wolf into the forest.

About the same time, Justin's uncle, a prominent executive, took his ten-year nephew to the center of finance and business in New York City. "This is Wall Street, Justin!" said the uncle.  "Wow!" replied the boy. Justin fell in love with big business and knew that he wanted to be a top executive when he grew up.

The Big River Valley in Montana was a beautiful place, where no person had ever lived or worked.

The Big River Valley was a beautiful, untouched place.
